Come Play With Me?
The next Club RUB is Saturday September 19th from 10.30 to 4.30 am. It's a very theatrical O.T.T. theme - “Come Play With Me?”
Think quirky puppet shows, the characters of fantasy films, musical Rock Star flamboyance, pantomime dames and children’s TV dolls. From Shakespearean garb to the Matrix leathers. Medieval, Elizabethan, Tudor, Regency, Victorian and fantasy period film. Venice Masked Carnival, Kabuki theatre and La Cage au Follies. It’s also a time to go back to school – so why not come as a Harry Potter characters for real drama. Google Harajuku fashion to give you an idea of theatrical doll fashions in Japanese style. Some beautiful theatrical Spanish themed costumes and Flamenco dresses.

There is so much on this period costume site. What about a Musketeer look and not forgetting the jacket. Great look for the guys is a Highwayman coat or the complete Shakespearean garb. The Knights Templar cape and helmet. Ruff and cuffs. Theatrical hats. The style of Marie Antoinette. The Dior 2009 winter collection has more than a dash of drama. Here's a hat company that has toppers in a dozen colours such as orange! However, this other site will show you all the colours and sizes more clearly (but are more expensive)! Film themes are good like - Casablanca. The Wizard of Oz is great fun - try the Tin Man. A winter queen from a fantasy film. Eight pieces in this costume for £150. Calling all you drama queens. Don’t let anyone tell you you're being too dramatic. Bring out the character actor and actress in you. Go over the top with your look. Mix fantasy with reality and take a peek through the looking glass. The Mad Hatter is a perfect example of this theme.

This fan will make a very dramatic entrance as it’s stunning. Or time to wear a hat. Why not dare to wear this hair. Gentlemen are you a thespian? A dandy? Here is an impressive array of men’s neck wear.
No one does dramatic latex clothing better than Atsuko Kudo. Many of her clothes worn by stars of stage and screen say - “come play with me”. The best rubber top hat I’ve found is from Breathless. I could imagine this House of Harlot corset on a Shakespearean stage. This has more than a touch of the Laura Crofts’ about it - Libidex body suit would be a great addition to anyone’s wardrobe. Or this one by Westward Bound.
