I attended Miss Kim's Mistress Workshop on Saturday, 27th April 2013 and it was absolutely fantastic, let me tell you.  As a newbie to the BDSM scene and having read, watched and devoured everything I could about the subject beforehand, it takes a seasoned professional to lead a group of women through the various aspects of the scene allied to the wonderful world of kinky fetishes.  The other Mistresses were very friendly and had a wide range of interests and backgrounds, but the one thing that I noticed was how open the atmosphere was and Miss Kim's flirtatious, yet  light touch really brought the subject to life.  My personal favourite aspect was the demonstration of erotic spanking and how you can use everyday household items to enhance even the most vanilla of relationships.  There was also a talk from the fabulous Ropejester about the history and mechanics of rope work and the couple's deep love of the subject (and for one another!) really shone through. Don't be shy about this.  If you think you are a Dom or want to explore it, then as Kim says, "you have to be it".  So come to the mistress workshop to confirm and realise who you are.  I was apprehensive turning up at the venue, not knowing what to expect at the venue and the fellow attendees.  But as soon as I walked in I met Kim and another attendee and immediately felt at ease. Everyone was so warm and friendly.  The conversation was free and easy, and grown up.  There's nothing to be embarassed about, it's all out there and up for discussion, sometimes at length!  As for workshop, I'd also call it group therapy.  The hands on demonstrations were excellent, and really provided me with some great tips to try out.  Our group were all different kinds of Dom, from professionals to sometime home users to those who just simply want to know more.  Kim covered all the areas. Some you may have heard of/tried before and others you didn't really knew about before.  She introduced a whole new exciting world to explore. She confirmed things I had thought about before but also helped me understand things and situations that I hadn't been approaching correctly or doing right.  Now with the newly gained knowledge, and a few new tools, it makes for very exciting and fun home use.  Kim, not only looks the part with her immaculate appearance, she has so much knowledge, tips and tricks, and scenarios to discuss we could have been there well into the night. Brilliant, and we (my hub/sub and I) haven't stopped our secret grinning since.

There were ladies there from all walks of life, of various ages and there for all sorts of reasons. The workshop was fantastic. It was great being with a small group of very different women -  all wanting to know more about being a mistress. I had a great time - Kim clearly knows her stuff, and was very informative and down to earth. I learned a lot, and the workshop really got me thinking about what sort of mistress i would like to be in my personal relationships. We were given lots of practical tips about things to try out, as well as more emotional issues related to being a mistress - whether personally or professionally. Attending the Mistress Workshop in February has unleashed a side to me that i've never felt very confident exposing, however, since then i have been happily exploring my inner Dom. Being my first time at such a workshop, i really didn't know too much about what to expect and so felt a little nervous before arriving at the venue. I really didn't need to worry though, as I entered a room full of women that were there for the same reason as myself. Everyone was friendly, relaxed and open about their experiences and it instantly put my nerves to rest.

The class itself was hosted by Miss Kim and her passion and energy, not to mention sense of fun created an electric atmosphere and i found myself absorbed by it all. My mind was exposed to sceneario's that I previously hadn't thought of, this of course, is dependent on how into the scene you are. Discovering so much new information for me was quite a learning curve and the demonstration of shibari was excellently portrayed by Bruce of Esinem. My favorite activity, which to my suprise, was spanking; it has given me a whole new angle to look at. By the end of the end of the day, i was feeling inspired and very creative and delighted to have met so many wonderful like-minded ladies and new techniques to take home and test on my slave.
